Wrote the following about SML Paris CL400 Bb Clarinet with Soft Case

Noem mij een snob.....Altijd houten klarinetten bespeeld van een gerenommeerd merk, zelfs een beetje neergekeken op "plastic" klarinetten. Uit pure nieuwsgierigheid dit instrument eens besteld. U moet weten dat SML Paris een zeer gerenommeerd bedrijf is dat keurige instrumenten aflevert. Zoals je dat dus van klarinettenbouwers in La Douce France mag verwachten. Maar goed, sinds vanmiddag is deze low budget toeter in mijn bezit. Het allereerst wat opvalt is de koffer, die één en al degelijkheid uitstraalt. Poetsdoekje en kurkvet erbij, zelfs een extra BG rietbindertje! Dan de klarinet zelf: de onderdelen voelen lekker degelijk aan, de applicatuur is mooi afgewerkt, het ziet er allemaal top uit. Met mijn eigen set up (Vandoren B40 mondstuk, Luyben rietbinder en een kersvers riet, Vandoren Rue L'Epique 56 het instrument speelklaar gemaakt en wat een te gekke ervaring: de toon is mooi, rond en sprankelend. De klarinet intoneert over alle registers fenomenaal, de projectie is bijzonder mooi en goed te noemen. Vaak blazen ABS-instrumenten relatief zwaar aan en wil het spelen in de hoge registers (c3 - c4) nogal eens flink te wensen overlaten, maar ook hier klinkt het allemaal lekker zuiver en niet te schel. Kortom: de perfecte klarinet om enerzijds je eerste stapjes op muziekgebied te zetten, maar zeker ook geschikt voor het betere podiumwerk!

Prima beginners klarinet, mooie klank en niet moeilijk te bespelen. De draagtas is van degelijke kwaliteit en beschermt goed. Al bij al een prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.
