General

Hohner's Special 20 caused a revolution back in the seventies, as it was the very first harmonica ever made with an ABS plastic comb. At the time, most harmonica players were convinced only a wooden comb could produce the best tones, but as it turned out, they were mistaken! After making wooden combs for 100 years, Hohner convinced the world of the benefits of a plastic comb, namely enhanced playing comfort and no more swelling or shrinking, which was the case with wooden combs.
