With the VE-22 Vocal Performer, Boss presents their follow-up to the immensely popular VE-20. With this next-gen unit, you're getting improved sound quality, a full-colour LCD display and even an expression pedal input. On top of that, the Boss VE-22 can now serve as a USB audio interface, transforming this extensive vocal effect pedal into a professional microphone amplifier for studio recording and live streaming, as well as stage work.

Stuck through the Boss VE-22 Vocal Performer, your vocals can suddenly sound like they should. It's that simple. With this pedal, you're free to apply some reverb or delay to give things some extra depth, and that's just the start of the entire world of effects that this processing unit has on offer: think pitch correction, distortion, and even Lo-Fi sounds. In all, you're getting fifty ready-made presets plus a bank of ninety-nine slots for saving your own effect combos so you can call them up for specific songs or quickly switch between entirely different sounds while singing.

Impressive Harmonies

One of the headline features of the Boss VE-22 has to be the potent harmony and doubling effect, which makes it possible to take nothing more than one voice and build a big and lush ensemble effect around it. When one of these effects is selected and you've set the key, you can start singing and the effect will immediately respond. Via the buttons lined up on the control panel, you can tweak the harmony voices, adjust the volume, and even assign the harmonies to a footswitch so you can toggle them on and off mid-song.
