For decades now, Yamaha have been producing remarkable instruments and their Pacifica guitars have proved no exception. The alder body of the 612VIIFM comes topped with flamed maple coated in a striking Indigo Blue that contrasts beautifully with black and chrome-plated hardware. A flattened and super-fast rosewood fretboard is only the start of the professional level of playing comfort this instrument affords.

The 612VIIFM: Remarkably Flexible Tone

The tonal flexibility of the 612VIIFM hinges on the mounted set of Seymour Duncan pickups. A single-coil SSL-1 sits at the neck and middle position while a 5 Humbucker provides a thick bottom at the bridge and a push/pull switch splits the humbucker in two for a pure and twangy single-coil shimmer. The mid-position pickup is uniquely wound in the opposite direction for a reversed polarity to remove any danger of unwanted noise interrupting the signal during transitions.

Solid Tuning stability and Familiar Control

Yamaha Pacifica 612VIIFM Indigo Blue Electric Guitar

Wat een fantastisch instrument, zowel qua uiterlijk als qua kwaliteit en dus speelplezier! Het was wel nodig het instrument na ontvangst eerst nog naar een specialist te brengen om hem correct en optimaal te laten afstellen. Als je dat niet zelf kunt, dan ben je een paar tientjes duurder uit, maar dat is het zeker waard. Het resultaat is een superfijn instrument. Dit instrument toont aan dat de prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding van Yamaha goed is, zoals ik ook al bij andere instrumenten heb ervaren. Ik ga er in ieder geval nog lang plezier aan beleven.
