General
Looking for strings for your 5-string banjo that will last a good while and give you that familiar acoustic sound of nickel-wound steel? Then be sure to try this Light XTJ0920 set from D'Addario's XT Banjo line. The carbon steel core makes them up to 42% stronger and keeps your mandolin 131% more in tune. This comes in handy when you do want to put a bit more passion into your banjo playing. Should you sweat a little more, this is no problem either. That's because the coating present is hydrophobic, so moisture will not get a grip on the strings. Yet they still sound and feel familiar, because this protective layer has been kept thin on purpose.
