This Ortega Raven Series banjo sounds as good as it looks. Cut out for bluegrass, this 5-string model features an engraved chrome arm rest, a 3-ply solid maple pot, and a 24-bracket tone ring which, combined with the mahogany resonator and Remo Fiber Skin banjo head, is a recipe for deep, warm sound framed by clear mid-range frequencies. The rosewood fretboard and one-piece flange add an extra touch of extravagance, while the padded gig bag that comes included is a welcome extra for gigging musicians.
