After the success of the FLY 3 mini guitar amp combo, Blackstar introduced the 3-Watt, 3-inch mini FLY 3 amp for bass! Despite its size, this amp's 3-inch speaker packs a lot of punch and has an impressive bass sound. It works on batteries as well as with the separately available adapter, and is ideal for practising in the living room or serenading in the bedroom. You can also easily bring it with you to run through a couple riffs backstage before a gig. The FLY 3 Bass is also compatible with your computer and MP3 player, so in fact, it's an amp and a speaker in one!
The Blackstar FLY 3 Bass: Well-Equipped
The FLY 3 Bass has everything a bassist could possibly need. It features two channels, clean and overdrive, that are switchable via a push-button so you can get down and groove or stand up and rock out. Use the gain rotary knob to adjust the amount of distortion. Get your bass sound just the way you like it with the EQ and SUB for even more depth and ultra-low tones, respectively. To create a complete sound, the FLY 3 Bass is also equipped with a compressor. Finally, use the volume knob to adjust how loud you want to be, but bear in mind, this particular amp does not go to 11.
Handy Connections
Use the MP3/line input to plug in your MP3 player over the Blackstar FLY 3. If you prefer to practise in silence, use the headphone output with speaker emulation, which also functions as a line output for recording. On the rear, you'll find a battery compartment for 6 AAs and an input for the optional 6.5-volt adapter. Last but not least, there's an RJ45 port for a 6-Watt stereo setup using separately available Blackstar FLY Extension CAB. In conclusion, this versatile mini bass amp is suitable for any occasion!

Voorlopig enkel op batterijen gebruikt en om een cleane sound te hebben mag je de gain echt niet hoog zetten of hij wordt al wat overstuurd. De overdrive sound is niet zo m'n smaak maar daar is ie niet voor gekocht.
Opletten met draadloze adapters, mijn MOOER zender geeft luide storing als ik te dicht kom (vb om aan een knop te draaien), als je een halve meter weg bent is het OK.
Pluspunten:

- Verbruikt weinig batterij
- Ideaal om buiten te gebruiken
Minpunt:
- Hij kan niet heel hard maar dat had ik er ook niet van verwacht.
De kwaliteit geluid is opmerkelijk goed voor zo'n kleine speaker.
Knoppen makkelijk te bedienen. Over de knoppen gesproken, er zit een overdrive en een compressor in, dat alles in dit kleine, lichte en goed mee neem bare product.
Wel jammer dat er geen adapter meegeleverd wordt.
