Made for bassists and double bassists in need of quick-access to inputs, the Phil Jones Bass PE-5 pedal stuffs a preamp, DI box, 5-band EQ and boost in one solid-and-tight unit. Equipped with an input impedance toggle switch, this preamp pedal is compatible with magnetic as well as piezo pickups and features a gain pot so you can throw your sound into overdrive at will. What's more, if your bass packs a relatively low output, this true bypass PBJ pedal always guarantees ample baseline volume, no matter the situation.

The PE-5: Studio-Grade Core Sound

If needed, this Phil Jones Bass stompbox can be hooked up to nothing but a power amp section or active speaker cabinet and even then, it can take your sound in any desired direction thanks to the specially-developed 5-band EQ. Meanwhile, the integrated DI with ground-lift switch ensures studio-quality sound along with an exceptionally high signal-to-noise ratio without ground loops, and you even get a built-in mute function just in case. In terms of power supply, the PJB PE-5 can run on a 9V DC adapter (not included) or the built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
