Wrote the following about Taurus T-Di Plus Mk-2 Bass Compressor PreAmp & DI box

Waanzinnig apparaat! De level en gain controls moet je gewoon zo instellen dat je bas ongeveer zo klinkt als wanneer ie bypassed is (helaas kleurt ie wel meteen al iets als je hem aanzet). Voor mij doen vooral de contour en de treble control heel veel. Die brengen meteen leven in je bas. Je kunt er zelfs een goedkope bas met dooie snaren sprankelend mee laten klinken. Voordeel is ook dat je kunt kiezen of het apparaat het effect bypasst of je geluid op mute zet. Wel opletten, want er kan géén batterij in!

Voor mij absoluut een blijvertje. Niet voor alle bassen en gelegenheden, maar wel voor die speciale momenten.

The Polish Taurus company has always made products that cater to musicians' needs. If someone discovers that a certain effect or preamp is lacking in a certain area, then the Polish designers (musicians themselves) try and remedy that with innovative and clever products. The new Taurus T-DI Plus is a great example of that. This pedal picks up where the T-Di (a bass preamp/booster with a built-in DI) left off. The T-Di Plus has an extra compressor that's linked to the gain.
