German company Sela introduced a fresh new take on the cajon: the CaSela. It's a professional snare cajon with a gorgeous Satin Nut finish. At its base lies a body made of 15mm-thick birch that allows for optimal sound production. It also features rounded corners for a more comfortable playing position. The Satin Nut-finished playing surface can be used interchangeably with the Taneo and Zebrano playing surfaces.
Sela CaSela Professional Snare Cajon: customise your sound
The unusual thing about this percussion instrument is the fact that you can assemble it yourself, allowing you complete freedom to customise your sound. You can adjust the volume, and the Sela Snare System can be completely removed, transforming the snare cajon into a traditional Peruvian cajon. For even more variation, the CaSela features adjustable Clap Corners, which ensure it has an impressive palette of sounds. And don't worry, assembling it is no rocket science - all you'll need is a hammer and a screw driver.
