With their Silverline Series, Blackstar offer tasty boutique tube-amp sound supported by the resistance of a modelling transistor amp. This 50 Watt Special version is made for smaller shows and rehearsals and comes equipped with Voice and Response controls based on True Valve Power to offer an immense range of possible sound profiles. First, select one of the six tube-emulations using the Response pot, then shape the foundation sound using the gain, bass, treble and ISF pots before hitting the Tap switch and turning the same pots into resonance, presence and midrange controls.

The Silverline Special: Twelve Effects, One Celestion V-Type and Ins and Outs

The choice of four modulation, four delay, and four reverb effects is also provided. Push one of the three pots in and dial the effect intensity as preferred. Once you've hit a sweet spot of your own making, save it to one of the four channels offered by each of the 32 banks and flip through them hands-free using an FS-10 footswitch (not included). Inside, the 12-inch Celestion V-Type speaker offers your sound a modern and balanced foundation with a warm midrange. Since this is a modern combo, you also get an MP3/line input and emulation and headphone output and, to record your new-found sound in all its glory, simply connect the Silverline Special to your computer and software using the included USB port.
