General

Koch's Classictone II 20W tube amp combo brings vintage sounds and looks back to the present day. It's fitted with two EL84 power tubes that give this 3-channel model its brilliant bite. The clean is crystal clear and has the sort of bell-like upper tones you'd expect to hear, while the drive on channel 3 offers an extra boost. The amp has a passive tone control to regulate the overdrive, so the sound will never be muddy.

Koch Classictone II combo with 12-inch speaker

This 20W Classictone II amp combo is fitted with a 12-inch speaker that was specially developed for Koch to enhance the vintage characteristics of the amp's sound. Other vintage features include the long scale spring reverb tank that is driven by three 12AX7 tubes. The front panel features a setting for the master volume so that you can enjoy the tube compression fully whether you're at home, in the studio or on stage.

Built-in speaker simulation

On the back of the amp, you'll find an FX send and return, as well as an output for an extra speaker that automatically selects the correct impedance. There are also sockets for connecting the foot switch and two DI outs (jack and XLR) with built-in speaker simulation. A 2-button foot switch is included with the amp.

What is it about guitar amps from the past that makes them so desirable? Could it be the looks? The sound? Or, perhaps it's both. Koch certainly considered both when designing their new classic amplifiers, the Koch Classictone II series! Clearly, they took a look at some iconic tube amps too, as the new series consists of four classic tube amps fitted with EL84 power tubes for a warm sound with awesome overdrive.
