This cymbal is bound to impress not only you, but also your band or orchestra members and, moreover, the audience. Although larger cymbals are obviously still available, it is not often that we see a 26-inch cymbal that is suitable as both a ride and a crash. The Giant Beat cymbals were first made in 1967. Many artists from the 70s and 80s used these cymbals for recordings. A real asset for any percussionist, drummer or percussionist. The only problem you may encounter is finding a bag or case that fits the cymbal. This is because these are not very easily available.

Paiste Giant Beat crash-ride 26-inch

This Giant Beat was handmade and hammered in Paiste's famous Swiss factory. Thanks to the hammered pattern and the alloy used, this cymbal has an almost wood-like attack when playing ride patterns. A pleasant rebound, good response and both soft and loud, rich in beautiful overtones. The cymbal is made from one piece, which means that the cymbal top also contributes to the cup sound. Played as a crash, different timbres are available, sharp and bright, or very 'washy' and muddy; it depends on your own technique. The sustain is long and the decay is well controllable for a cymbal of this size. Played with mallets, you have a nice, big suspended cymbal and also played by hand, this Giant Beat has a pleasant sound.
