After his older brother took over as the head of the Zildjian company in 1981, Robert Zildjian founded a new company named after his three children, Sally, Bill and Andy (SaBiAn). Since then, Sabian has become one of the world's leading cymbal brands and enjoys a great reputation as one of the 'big four' of cymbal manufacturing, along with Zildjian, Paiste and Meinl.

Sabian Artisan series

Cymbals in the Artisan series were originally part of Sabian's Vault line, which consisted of unique and sometimes even experimental cymbals. Eventually the Vault line was disbanded and its cymbals were placed into one of Sabian's other series, depending on which one best suited their sound. The Artisan cymbals, however, were exempt from this rule and became their own series. Na flink wat rondtoeren op internet voor een update naar nieuwe crashes voor mijn studio uitgekomen bij Sabian... en vooral de Artisan serie. Laat ik bij Bax een 17 & 19 inch tegen komen voor wel een heel scherpe prijs, beiden direct aangeschaft, snel thuis bezorgd, en ze klinken echt fantastisch !!! Wat goede bekkens doen voor je drum totaalgeluid !!!!
