In the Sabian Vault, they are constantly inventing new techniques and series. Now they have a great concept with the FRX cymbals. These cymbals sound a lot less harsh and shrill than regular cymbals. This makes them ideal for small gigs where you don't want it to be too loud. Unlike low volume cymbals, which often sound quite muffled anyway, the FRX cymbals have an ordinary, normal sound. Suitable for a variety of styles and a pleasure to play with.

Sabian FRX Crash 19 inch

This crash is made from a special alloy developed by Sabian. A combination of tin, copper and silver is melted until a cymbal paste remains. This is then poured into a mould after which it is hardened. A special machine then goes about the hammering process after which the holes around the cup are also machine-made - all under the watchful eye of one of the many specialists working at Sabian. Once this is completed, the cymbal is thoroughly checked for unevenness. Each cymbal is played, obviously listening very carefully to make sure the sound is good. After this check, the cymbals are placed on a shelf where they stay for a while to 'agen' - just like cheese! After several months, they are taken out again, a final check follows - and only then do they leave the Sabian Vault to make drummers around the world happy!
