General
The Fast Crash lives up to its name. Initially, you hear the typical crash-attack you might expect from a 14-inch crash. However, the decay is a lot faster than with most crash cymbals and the sustain is very short as a result. Like the other cymbals in the A-series, the cymbal has been given a traditional finish. The cup is relatively small and the cymbal has a so-called 'paper thin weight'. These two characteristics ensure that the cymbal does not have a too large volume range, but can be tastefully applied in most common music styles. Looking for an extra sound in your setup, but in doubt between a splash or a crash? Take the 14-inch Fast Crash - then you're right in between!
