General

Masterwork has been making authentic cymbals in Turkey for decades, and the Troy Traditional series is an accessible entry-level series. Each cymbal is hand-hammered from B25 bronze: an alloy with 25% tin known for its full, complex sound. The top remains untreated, which gives these cymbals a matte, dark character not found on polished variants. The lighter construction compared to the Troy Brilliant provides a faster response and a slightly more sensitive touch. The set consists of a 14-inch hi-hat, a 16-inch crash and a 20-inch ride. A solid base for any drum kit! In short, the Troy Traditional is an artisanal, handmade set for drummers who want a warm, traditional sound without spending a fortune.
