General

To meet the demands of pianists seeking a digital piano with a playing feel that's not only convincing, but actually sumptuous, Casio have co-developed the Celviano Grand Hybrid GP-310 alongside the incomparable C. Bechstein.

The GP-150: Natural Grand Hammer Action Keys

The 88 hammer action keys that make up the keyboard of this digital piano have been crafted using the same Austrian spruce used to make the keys of renowned Bechstein instruments. The white keys have an acrylic finish while the black keys have been finished with phenol and each controls the action of physical hammers to provide the truly accurate response of an acoustic model. This not only elevates the playing feel but allows every little nuance of your playing to be carried through to the sound.

Grand Acoustic Sound System

A realistic sounding digital piano can be an endlessly inspiring learning and composition tool. To offer the best sound possible, Casio have used their very own Grand Acoustic Sound System to shape the voice of this piano. This system has 26 different sounds, including striking emulations of pianos from Hamburg (for a bright, richness), Berlin (for incredible balance), and Vienna (for enveloping warmth), giving you a vast tonal palette so that just the right tone can be selected for the right piece. To amplify its comprehensive library of sounds in the quality it deserves, the GP-310 comes fitted with no less than six speakers as part of a three-way system driven by a 2x 30 Watt and a 2x 20 Watt amplifier for exacting sound that reproduces the entire frequency range of the piano with awesome accuracy. Of course, it's also possible to plug in two sets of headphones.

The Casio Celviano Grand Hybrid GP-310 Digital Piano

The most obvious benefit of using a digital piano rather than an acoustic piano, is the sheer potential that it offers. This piano even includes a recording function and is able to save recorded performances to an internal memory or connected memory stick as wave or MIDI files. Connect it to a computer and record directly to DAW recording software to make superb recordings from the comfort of your own living room. Preprogrammed pieces come loaded in and can be played along with and more can be added from a USB stick.

Casio Celviano Grand Hybrid GP-310 Digital Piano (Black)
Wrote the following about Casio Celviano Grand Hybrid GP-310 Digital Piano (Black)

NAMM 2016: Yamaha DGX-660 Digital Piano

Thursday January 21, 2016

Thanks to their wooden housing, digital pianos usually blend in nicely with the rest of your furniture. Keyboards, on the other hand, tend to stick out a bit more. With their DGX series, Yamaha provides the perfect middle ground. These instruments have the same options as a keyboard, but their housing (with stand) ensures they don't stand out too much in your living room. The newest additions to the DGX family are the DGX-660 and the DGX-660WH.
