General

With the Yamaha Modus F02 digital piano in orange, you're sure to turn some heads! This quirky instrument exudes creativity and class, and as a Modus instrument it produces a lovely, authentic concert grand piano sound. As soon as you put your fingers down on these wooden keys with synthetic ivory tops, you're going to be dreaming of Chopin and Liszt, and you could really play their compositions too with this high-tech beauty. Thanks to the Graded Hammer action, the keys also decrease in weight as you move up the keyboard, providing you with the same playing experience that you would have with an acoustic piano.

The sound

With so many acoustic piano comparisons, you'd almost forget we were talking about a digital piano at all! But we are, and digital pianos do have plenty of desirable features to offer that you could never have with an acoustic one, such as Yamaha's Real Grand Expression technology. Such technology has also been featured in Yamaha's Clavinovas, and together with the Acoustic Optimizer it delivers a rich, expressive, impressive sound. Your playing stays authentic even when you release the keys, thanks to the highly detailed release samples - a feature your staccato notes are sure to thank you for.

Extras

Even without any extras, this is already a magnificent digital piano, but Yamaha wanted to do even more. Along with the piano sound you also get some extra sounds to play with, and you have the option to layer them or split them up. With a polyphony of 256, you can press all of the keys down, even in dual mode, and still have 40 voices left over. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to understand that you're never going to have to deal with polyphony problems with this piano. Furthermore, you can use the built-in reverb to make your playing sound as if you're in a concert hall. And finally, you'll never miss a beat, because you can record it all in WAV format and save it to a USB stick to transport to your computer to listen to later.
