If you're looking for a digital piano, two things are probably important to you - the playing feel of the keys, and the quality of the sounds. With Roland's digital pianos, you're actually always right in that respect, even with entry-level models like this FP-10. You will certainly find other digital pianos in the price range of this FP-10. Roland claims to distinguish itself by its superior, self-developed SuperNATURAL sound source that makes the piano sound insanely natural and authentic. The 2x 6-watt speakers sound crystal clear, even in the low end. This piano contains few buttons, making it easy to operate. Yet the FP-10 is equipped with a number of hidden features including Bluetooth and MIDI. The Roland FP-10 digital piano can be expanded with a separately available stand.

Roland FP-10 keyboard

This digital piano is equipped with an 88-key PHA-4 keyboard that feels and responds like a real acoustic piano. Every nuance of your playing is picked up and even hammer-action in the different registers has been taken into account. This keyboard lets you play as dynamically as an acoustic piano or even a grand piano. When you think of a digital piano with 88 keys, you quickly think of a big and heavy thing that will take up a lot of space in your room and also be difficult to transport. However, this is not the case with this FP-10: at 12.5 kg, this piano weighs relatively little and its casing has been kept as compact as possible. The instrument has a length of 1284 mm, the depth is 258 mm and the height is 140 mm.

Roland FP-10 features

As mentioned, the FP-10 digital piano has several connection options. Firstly, there is of course a headphone output, which you can also use as a line-out to connect the piano to an amplifier. A connection to your computer is easily made via the USB output, and you can also easily pair devices with Bluetooth. On the computer, you can then create and edit sound recordings with a separately available DAW programme.

The piano and stand are the quality you expect from Roland. The key bed feels great and the response and sound are also very impressive at this price point especially.

I had a Roland stage piano many years ago and was looking for something similar which I could play at home but was easily transportable to take to friends /gigs. This is a great keyboard, light enough to carry and with a lovely piano tone. Although the speakers aren’t as powerful as the FP30 they are perfect for home or even a small venue. There’s some good keyboard settings including grand piano, electric piano, jazz organ, split keyboard and if you download the Piano Partner2 app you can access even more (the acoustic bass is great when you want to create a walking bass line accompaniment over a piano melody). Ordering online with Bax Music was easy and straightforward, great prices too (a lot cheaper than elsewhere). Communication about my order was great and it arrived in good time before Christmas. Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend Bax Music for your musical requirements.

I’m a beginner and this is my first digital piano. I bought this one after looking at lots of reviews online, and I’m very impressed with it.
The keys feel like an acoustic piano - I think the white keys are made of synthetic ivory, so they don’t feel at all plasticky.
It sounds exactly like an acoustic piano to me, but I’m not experienced enough to be able to hear any nuanced differences.
It comes with about 15 different sound settings (harpsichord etc) which seems ok. I’ve not really used the different settings too much.
One downside I have found so far is the Roland App - I can’t make any sense of it! I’ve tried a demo version of the FlowKey App instead and this seems to suit my way of learning. It’s a shame Roland doesn’t have something similar, as the paid-for version of the FlowKey App is quite pricey. Maybe I’m missing something with the Roland App. I tried it for a bit but gave up after a while.
The other thing to note is that the FP-10 only has one pedal (it has a basic one in the box, but other reviewers have suggested upgrading it - even with an upgrade, it still only works with one pedal). This is ok for me, but I imagine would be a problem for more advanced users.
Overall, for the price it’s a really impressive digital piano and I would definitely recommended it. I’m very pleased with it.

Vroeger altijd een echte piano gehad, dus ik was heel benieuwd. Na jaren weer gestart met piano spelen.

Deze digitale piano voelt als een akoestische piano. Echt heel erg tevreden mee! Perfect zo in ons appartement en ideaal dat hij ook kan verbinden met verschillende apps. Mijn vriend speelt er nu ook op ;)

Heel leuke piano voor het leren van piano spelen. De kinderen zijn er niet vanaf te slaan en door de koptelefoon aansluiting hebben wij er geen last van. De piano heeft een prima geluid en via MIDI kan je muziek opnemen of een partituur van maken. Daar heb je wel specifieke (gratis) software voor nodig afhankelijk van hoe uitgebreid je de mogelijkheden wil. We hebben er veel plezier van!
