The JHS Pedals 424 Gain Stage offers the versatility of the iconic Tascam Portastudio 424, but in a handy pedal format. This pedal brings the characteristic lo-fi sounds of a guitar rig straight into the studio, with clean tones, high headroom and heavy fuzz. It precisely recreates the original circuit of the Portastudio 424 MKI, keeping the original UPC4570 and NJM4565 op-amps and controls to mimic the character of the vintage gear. The combination of trim, channel and master volume controls offers endless possibilities to fine-tune the desired tone, complemented by Low and High EQ settings for an extra personal touch.

424 Gain Stage: easy to integrate

Thanks to its flexible connection options, the 424 Gain Stage is suitable for both live performances and studio recordings. Besides the usual 6.35 mm mono jack output, the pedal also features a balanced XLR output with ground lift for direct connection to mixing consoles or audio interfaces. The pedal has a robust metal housing, a soft-touch footswitch and a status LED for easy operation.
