JHS Pedals Moonshine V2

Very pleased with this Moonshine V2. I was looking for a slightly different overdrive flavour to my Dumbloid Clone. (Which I adore!) With the Moonshine, I wanted to add some extra versatility to my tonal palette. I was also looking for an overdrive which would compliment my Fender Princeton and Fender Bassbreaker. I had been thinking Tube Screamer, but as my Dumbloid is mids-prominent, I fancied something darker, with more bottom end. The Moonshine fits the bill perfectly. It's dark and punchy if you want... it is also stunning for gnarly, gritty, screaming blues/rock. I play a lot of Slide and it is nothing short of addictive for that kind of sound. It also does rich, low gain drive very well and can be used with tape delay without muddying up the sound. The Clean blend adds an extra layer of versatility... it's a Swiss Army knife of the overdrive world... Highly recommended, esp with Fender Amps.
