Keeley Tube Drive Twin Triode Dual Overdrive

General

The Keeley Tube Drive Twin Triode Dual Overdrive combines two distinct overdrive characters in a single pedal. On the one hand, you’ll find a genuine Keeley-branded 12AX7 valve operating at a high voltage of approximately 160 V. This produces a warm, dynamic response with natural harmonic saturation. The second channel is based on the legendary Keeley Phat Mod and delivers a powerful, versatile overdrive. Both sections can be used separately, or switched on together for a wide range of drive and distortion tones.

Flexible signal routing

Each of the two channels features Level, Drive and Tone controls, allowing you to adjust both overdrive characters independently. Thanks to the two footswitches, you can activate the sections separately. By holding down the footswitch, you can also switch the order in which the two circuits are used: Drive-Tube or Tube-Drive. This allows you, for example, to first let the Phat Mod be overdriven by the tube preamp, or conversely, to have the tube section driven further by the Drive channel. The bypass mode is also flexible: you can choose between True Bypass and Keeley’s low-noise Buffered Bypass.

Designed for demanding pedalboards

In addition to the mono input and output, the Tube Drive features a 6.3 mm TRS socket for external control of the Tube and Drive channels. The built-in 12AX7 has been carefully burn-in tested and is visibly protected by a specially designed tube guard. Power is supplied via an optional 9 V DC adaptor with a 2.1 x 5.5 mm barrel plug and centre-negative polarity; battery power is not supported. With its robust construction, versatile routing and American manufacture, this dual overdrive is a flexible addition to any professional guitar setup.
