General

25 years ago, Green Day released their third and arguably most influential album, ‘Dookie’. The distinctive guitar sound of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is now enshrined in the limited edition MXR DD25 Dookie Drive. During the ‘Dookie’ sessions, Armstrong used two heavily modified amps which have now been squeezed into this little box so that by simply toggling the blend knob, you can span an expansive frequency spectrum ranging between scooped high-gains and articulated mids. If at any point, you’re not sure which pedal you’re using, the cover of the eponymous album is helpfully printed on its face.

MXR DD25 Dookie Drive Limited Edition effects pedal

Wrote the following about MXR DD25 Dookie Drive Limited Edition effects pedal
Geweldige pedal.

MXR Present Dookie Drive, Billy Gibbons Fuzz + Dunlop Jerry Cantrell Wah

Monday 28 January 2019 By Richard | Bax Music

MXR recently collaborated with some well-known artists to design some new pedals. In the case of the DD25 Dookie Drive that was Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. For the BFG07 Siete Santos Octavio Fuzz they enlisted the help of Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. Not to be outdone, Dunlop worked with Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains to create the JC95B Cry Baby Wah.
