General

The Silver Bee OD focuses on control and dynamics, not thick layers of gain. The pedal picks up that typical edge of overdrive where a clean sound slowly starts to break down. This results in an open sound that is slightly sharp and retains clear definition in the treble. Compared to the Honey Bee, the Silver Bee sounds tighter and more modern, with less mid-pressure and more focus on clarity and attack. The response is direct and accurately follows your attack and volume control, keeping the amount of drive well controlled.

Versatile with a nuanced sound

Thanks to the 2-band EQ, you easily tune the low and high to your amp or pedalboard. The Silver Bee works great as an always-on pedal, for some extra presence in your sound. But the Silver Bee OD is also strong in combination with other drives and preamps. Use it to open up an existing overdrive or let the pedal itself do that little extra without clogging up your sound. The One Control Silver Bee OD overdrive is a down-to-earth and musical pedal for guitarists who, occasionally, value nuance over brute force.
