General

The Tone City Mickey is not just an obvious nod at Disney but at Proco. Best of all, this RAT-style distortion comes housed in a compact stompbox and can be picked up on the cheap. In addition to standard controls like volume, gain and tone, the pedal features a mini-switch that can be toggled to choose between two different types of clipping. Flip it down, and you get a subtle, symmetrical clipping effect; flip the switch up, and you're treated to fat, saturated tone. No matter the mode you select, Mickey offers an excellent response to what you do with the strings as well as to how you've dialled in your volume pot.
