In love with British-flavoured overdrive but can't afford to fork out for an AC-30? Meet the Tone City Black Tea. Set to a low or medium gain setting, this affordable distortion effect pedal offers a kind of sugar-coated overdrive that reminds you of valve amps from the sixties. Despite its almost laughably affordable price, the Black Tea packs an excellent response to playing dynamics as well as to the volume pot of your guitar, even featuring an internal charge pump to give you the extra headroom needed to shape imposing tone.
