General

After tinkering with the countless Marshall amps that have crossed their workbench over the years, Tsakalis AudioWorks decided to stick all the best models in one slimline, high-grade stompbox: the Room #40. That means that this little pedal doesn't just give you direct access to vintage Super Bass and Super Lead Plexi-style sound, but 800-Series JCM-flavoured sound, and even that ever-sought-after JMP-style sound. Hit the Enable switch before flipping the two-way central mini-switch between your two global sounds: 19 or 22, then find your new go-to amp sound via the Presence pot and season everything to taste via the three-band EQ controls, the Master pot and the set of two Volume pots. To finish, dial in the voltage via the Variac pot, which boasts a 7.5 Volt to 21 Volt range to bring out that all-important brown sound.

Wrote the following about Tsakalis AudioWorks Room #40 Marshall Style Overdrive Preamp Pedal

Dès les premières notes avec une Tokai Love Rock sur le canal clair d'un Blackstar HT Club 40, même à bas volume, ça sonne tout de suite avec tous les réglages à midi. Le vrai son Marshall, les sensations et la dynamique de jeu, le réglage de la présence: tout y est et même plus avec le Variac qui permet de passer d'un son plus sec à un son avec beaucoup d'amplitude, et le foot Switch de boost qui permet de se passer d'une pédale dédiée. Après essai avec d'autres guitares, les différents réglages permettent de tout faire sonner. Ça vaut chaque euro dépensé d'autant que c'est assemblé en Europe (Grèce).
