General
Stability and durability are the two words that come to mind about the Yamaha DFP8500C double bass pedal. The brand developed this piece of hardware to withstand just about anything, and it can be adjusted just how you like it. It's ideal if you're just starting out, or if you're a more advanced player. Please note, this pedal is designed for right-handed drummers with the hi-hat on the left side of the kit.
Yamaha DFP8500C double bass pedal
The first thing you're sure to notice about this pedal is the dual chain drive, which ensures durability and a familiar playing feel. The pedal has five adjustment settings and the frame has a fixed base plate that's slightly broader than the average frame. This also ensures durability and stability. What's more, it prevents any lateral movement. If you use the heel-toe technique, then this pedal is ideal thanks to the extra-long footboard. The clamp for attaching the pedal to the bass drum has excellent grip and is tightened by means of a knob on the side.
