The Yamaha Manu Katché Junior Drum Kit in Cranberry Red was designed especially for young drummers that have some growing to do. As such, it's a highly compact drum set with a 16 x 15" bass drum, 10 x 7" and 12 x 7" toms, a 13 x 12" floor tom and a 12 x 5" snare drum. These sizes allow for quite a low setup that allows even small drummers to reach all parts of the kit with ease. Additionally, its Cranberry Red lacquer gives the drum set a beautiful warm look.

The kit was developed in collaboration with French drummer Manu Katché, who has played with world-class artists like Peter Gabriel and Sting, so he surely knows what a good drum kit sounds like. In this case, he and Yamaha crafted this kit's shells from 6 plies of birch, giving them a powerful and bright sound that even holds up well in the studio. Maybe combine this with the previous sentence?Another handy feature is that this kit's bass drum features telescopic spurs and a riser so you can lift the whole thing up, toms and all, to accommodate drummers as they grow. As the tom holder is also individually adjustable, this kit is a great choice for more advanced, adult drummers who need a compact kit.

Stands Included

The stands that come with this particular drum kit also take its compact shell sizes into account. Both the snare drum stand and the hi-hat stand can be set extra low. Furthermore, the two included cymbal stands are telescopic, so you'll always be able to set them to the perfect hight. Finally, you can attach the bass drum pedal directly to the bass drum when it's on the floor, or clamp it to the riser.
