Audix DP4 drum set

General

Amplifying and recording drums is a science in itself, and you need special microphones for it. Renowned microphone manufacturer Audix has comprised a set that allows you to perfectly record or amplify the sound of your drum kit. The DP4 set consists of one D6 and three i5 microphones. Moreover, special clips for the i5 mics are included, so that you can fasten them to the rims of your toms or snare. For the D6, a special clip is included that's fit for the standard microphone stands.

Each microphone has its own application. The D6 is specifically designed for the bass drum, whereby the frequencies below 100 Hz receive a significant boost. A peak around 2 kHz ensures that the body as well as the attack are well reproduced. i5 microphones feature a very light diaphragm, which makes them respond to fierce attacks, the so-called transient response. The entire set can be stored in the accessory aluminium case with its soft foam lining.
