Anyone who knows a bit about music, knows that stereo recordings sound better than mono. A stereo recording allows for a much more dynamic sound. One thing is very important with these kind of recordings: if you use microphones that are not completely the same, there is a chance that the left and right sound image are different. In order to prevent this, you should use a microphone set like this one. The completely computer-controlled measuring guarantees a completely equal sound image.
The microphones have a very clean, but personal sound. As they are very solid and thanks to the in-box accessories (a set of pop shields and two shockmounts that can be put in a handy flightcase together with the microphones), everything can be transported safely. A match made in heaven!

Ik heb de AKG c214 gekocht als overhead voor drums in combinatie met sennheiser 904 op toms, beta57a op snare en beta52A voor de kick ter vervanging van een 'el-cheapo' samson 7kit.
Wat een verschil! Erg mooi stereo beeld. Erg heldere definitie van de cymbals (Zildjian A customs).
Ook de snare komt dankzij deze set er erg punchy en strak uit.
Verder geeft deze set een mooi allround beeld voor je kit, wat in combinatie met close micing in de studio erg goed tot zijn recht komt.
Een absolute aanrader voor diegene die in de studio wil starten met het (serieus) opnemen van drums.
