General
Compiled for the professional, the Audix DP Elite 8 drum mic set guarantees tight and accurate drum sound and comes fully set up for a standard five piece kit plus cymbals. Each part of the kit is taken care of: the kick, the snare, the rack toms and the floor toms, while three condenser microphones have also been provided and specifically calibrated for the hi-hat and overheads. Each microphone comes with its own rim clamp, microphone clip and windshield and everything in the bundle comes pre-packed inside an aluminium road-ready case, filled with per-cut acoustic foam-rubber and finished with metal ball-corners and butterfly latches.
The Audix DP Elite 8: Live Sound & Recording
With the ultra-complete Audix DP Elite 8 set, you get a total of eight professional microphones: an i5 snare mic and a D6 kick drum mic (both must-haves when it comes to close-miking for crisp and tight sound on stage or in the studio); a D2 and D4 floor tom microphone that, when placed around 5cm above the rim and pointed at the centre of the drumhead, pull out precisely the kind of tonally rich thump you want; the SCX1C overheads can be suspended above the whole kit to gain an outstanding stereo blend; and to finish, you get the SCX1HC Hi-Hat Mic, which boasts an extreme sensitivity level, so can be placed at a distance from the hats where it won't capture the raw sound of displaced air as the two cymbals meet.
