The Roland EC-10M El Cajón Mic Processor by Roland is a unique, innovative accessory for the acoustic cajón. Let your creative juices flow with the wide variety of sampling options this device has to offer. You can also use the EC-10M as a microphone preamplifier. The El Cajón Mic Processor comes complete with a power adapter but also runs on four AAA batteries (not included).
Roland EC-10M El Cajón Mic Processor
With the EC-10M, it's easy to spice up your cajón performance. Simply clamp the included microphone to the sound hole of the cajón and add some samples to your acoustic sound. There are 16 different kits available, including a range of percussion instruments such as the tambourine, the djembe, the surdo and the splash. Samples of acoustic and digital snare drums are also available in the EC-10M's sample library. You can also use two samples at once; one for in the centre of the playing surface and one for the edge. The EC-10M El Cajón also offers the option to connect two trigger pedals like the KT-9, KT-10 or KD-7. Using the on-board samples, you can also create a loop to jam along to, and as the loop plays, you can alter the samples for even more variation.

Wrote the following about Roland EC-10M El Cajon Mic Processor for acoustic cajón
De voetpedaaltjes om klanken aan te sturen (2) zijn wat onhandig met de voeten te bespelen daar de EC-10M heel licht is en gemakkelijk dan verschuift. Men raad dan ook de kick-trigger pedalen aan van Roland maar die zijn erg prijzig en zware uitvoeringen, doch heb ik er twee aangeschaft omdat die ook van pas komen op de SPD-20 pad en dus ook compatibel met andere Roland producten.
Verder is EL Cajon nu ook niet van het goedkoopste maar anderzijds door zijn mogelijkheden wel de moeite waard om in huis te halen, de Cajon is ten eerste uitgerust met een micro en ten tweede heeft men aanvullende klanken er bij. De service van Bax is bovendien goed.
