General

Looking for an active bass guitar for the heavier stuff? With its high-quality pickups, superior playing comfort and clean looks, the Phoenix-1004 has all the features you would expect from LTD. It is equipped with two active Fishman Fluence SB-1 humbuckers. Thanks to a push-pull switch in the tone knob, these can be switched to single-coil mode. This makes it a versatile set of pickups with many tonal possibilities. To ensure good intonation, it has a Gotoh bridge and smooth LTD tuning machines. Its sleek design, black hardware, brushed-textured pickguard and unique ESP flag-shaped position markers ensure it makes a good impression on any stage.

Solid construction.

The neck of the Phoenix-1004 consists of 5 parts mahogany and walnut and runs the entire length of the body. This construction makes it a sturdy and stable instrument that is less susceptible to weather conditions. LTD's 'Thin U' neck profile combined with a smooth silk-gloss finish provide an unprecedented comfortable feel all over the neck. It is fitted with 21 extra jumbo frets made from stainless steel. This makes them harder than regular frets so they are less likely to wear out. This makes it a true 'player-bass' for professional musicians despite its sleek design.
