General

Built for the more ambitious beginner, the Fazley Sunset Series Jellyfish 5 bass guitar takes a classic yet J-bass-style foundation and slaps on an extra fifth string. Thanks to the basswood body, this model keeps things ultra-lightweight and manageable, while maximum comfort is assured by the familiar feel of the modern-C neck profile, the buttery-soft matte finish of the back of the neck and the light playability of a set of twenty-one medium-jumbo frets. Even in standard tuning, the extra low-B string means that this bass can go another five semitones lower, expanding the note range and pushing up the potential. As a neat bonus, this solid five-string bass comes pre-wrapped in a form-fitting gig bag.

The Fazley Sunset Jellyfish 5: Full-Range Sound

The neck has been carved from maple, which has been roasted to reduce the moisture level and increase the density of the wood to improve both stability and resonance. This detail, combined with the basswood body, results in a naturally full mid-range and a little more treble punch, which the high-grade Graph Tech TUSQ nut only helps enhance. This sonic foundation is then translated in full by a set of two single-coil pickups which, via the fitted set of volume and tone controls, kit out the Sunset Series Jellyfish with a satisfyingly versatile sonic range.

I bought the Fazley Jellyfish 5 String as I eager to step into the 5 string game, and I’ve been blown away with the power and precision of the bass. It has a good heavy weight and an awesome finish that makes me feel great playing it, not to mention the smoothness of the neck that really makes playing this bass a lot of fun.

It has been the bass I was looking for, and the price point makes this an absolute steal for beginners and professionals alike.

As a player with almost 15 years worth of playing experience and played and owned basses of various mid spec and high-end brands as well as custom builds, i was so impressed with this instrument straight out the box. for the price of it, it's a great instrument. it's not perfect, but anyone getting into 5 strings i would absolutely recommend this bass. The build quality is good, the finish is excellent the neck is lovely and smooth and fast. I'd even recommend this for people who have playing experience. i'm so far not sure about the compatibly with other makes of Jazz bass, if this Fazley was to be modified.But if there are compatible mods (tuners, bridge , electronics, scratch plate etc) then this is a great platform to build on. This Fazley is definitely in my opinion, bang for your buck!

Bassiste depuis plus de 40 ans sur 4 ,5,6 cordes frettées et fretless ,cette copie de jazzbass est excellente , la finition plus que correcte le manche est bien droit ( et j'espère qu'il le restera) l'électronique et les micros font bien le boulot.
A la réception , j'avais un vilain buzz sur le potentiomètre de tonalité ( mauvaise masse sur le chevalet ) facilement corrigé et j'ai modifié ( abaissé) l'action des cordes que je trouvais un peu haute à mon goût. Les "petits cadeaux" (jack et housse) vraiment bas de gamme sont inutiles. Je pense qu'il serait bien mieux de mettre 10 ou 15 € de plus et d'avoir une housse de transport de qualité.
Donc très content de mon achat , excellent rapport qualité/prix
