General
The Schecter Charles Berthoud CB-6 LH is the signature model of bassist Charles Berthoud, renowned for his impressive two-handed tapping technique. This left-handed 6-string bass guitar combines an ash body with a flamed maple top and a multi-layered walnut/padauk neck. Thanks to the neck-through construction and Ultra Access, access to the higher frets is particularly comfortable. The 35-inch scale length and 24 jumbo frets offer plenty of scope for modern bass techniques and complex arrangements.
EMG pickups and active electronics
For amplification, the CB-6 LH is fitted with two EMG 35HZ humbuckers, positioned at the bridge and neck. The controls consist of a master volume, blend control and an EMG 3-band B64 EQ. This allows you to fine-tune the tone to suit your playing style and amplifier. The Schecter Diamond Custom Bass bridge, together with the Grover tuners, provides a reliable foundation. The Natural Satin finish also beautifully showcases the grain of the flamed maple top.
Designed for modern bassists
With its 54 mm-wide nut, Thin C neck profile and 35-inch scale length, this CB-6 LH is aimed at bassists seeking extra reach and flexibility. The bass comes fitted with D’Addario Bass Nickel Wound Long Scale NYXL32130 strings in .032–.130. According to the manufacturer, a matching SCSGR-6B case is available separately. The combination of six strings, comprehensive active tone control and the comfortable neck-through construction makes this left-handed Charles Berthoud signature model ideal for technical and expressive playing.
