General
The Schecter Hellraiser Extreme-4 is a powerful 4-string electric bass guitar with a striking, modern look. The mahogany body features a Quilted Maple top, whilst the one-piece neck, crafted from multiple layers of maple and walnut, ensures a direct response and excellent sustain. The ebony fingerboard is fitted with 24 X-Jumbo frets and distinctive Gothic Cross mother-of-pearl inlays. The combination of the See-Thru Black Satin finish, multi-layer binding and Black Chrome hardware gives this bass a distinctive look that perfectly complements its powerful character.
Active EMG sound
For a robust and versatile bass response, the Hellraiser Extreme-4 features two active EMG 35TW humbuckers, positioned at the neck and bridge. The active EMG 3-band EQ also gives you extensive options for fine-tuning the tone. Both volume controls feature a push-pull function, giving you extra control over the bass’s tonal possibilities. This allows you to switch easily between different tone characteristics, from tight and defined to full-bodied and aggressive. The active electronics are particularly well-suited to modern playing styles where a powerful, clear response is required.
Comfortable playability
Thanks to the 34-inch scale length, the Thin C neck profile and the Ultra Access design of the neck-through construction, the Hellraiser Extreme-4 plays comfortably across the entire fingerboard. The Schecter Custom Bass bridge supports both String Thru and Top Load set-ups, giving you flexibility in how you mount the strings. Grover tuners ensure reliable tuning stability. The bass comes fitted with D’Addario Bass Nickel Wound Long Scale NYXL45105 strings (.045–.105), as specified for this model. The matching SCSGR-6B case is available separately.
