General

The Schecter J-4 Rosewood is a modern take on a classic J-style bass guitar. The body is made from alder and is combined with a bolt-on maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Thanks to the 34-inch scale length and the Thin C neck profile, the bass plays with a familiar and comfortable feel. The 21 Narrow X-Jumbo frets and 38 mm-wide nut provide a pleasant foundation for both tight bass lines and melodic passages. The Gloss Black finish and black hardware also give the instrument a modern, stylish look.

MonsterTone-J pickups

In terms of tone, the J-4 Rosewood is fitted with two Schecter USA MonsterTone-J pickups, positioned at the bridge and neck. These passive pickups deliver a powerful sound with relatively high output, whilst retaining the character of passive bass pickups. The Volume/Volume/Tone controls allow you to easily adjust the basic tone of your sound. The push-pull coil tap adds further tonal possibilities, allowing you to use the two pickups in an even more versatile way. The J-4 thus combines classic J-bass-style tonal characteristics with modern flexibility.

Bridge and design

The Schecter Custom Bass String-Thru bridge can be used as either a string-through or top-load bridge. This allows you to choose how the strings are routed and ensures a solid connection between the strings and the instrument. The Schecter tuners ensure reliable tuning, and the black hardware complements the Gloss Black finish beautifully. The bass comes fitted with D’Addario Bass Nickel Wound Long Scale NYXL45105 strings in .045–.105. An SCSGR-UNIV6 case is available as a separately sold option and is not included.

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty.
