The Sire Marcus Miller V3N 5L Tobacco Sunburst is a left-handed 5-string electric bass guitar from the revamped V3 New Gen series. This model combines a comfortable Jazz-style body with modern electronics and improved ergonomics for a well-balanced playing experience. Thanks to the active/passive switch and the intuitive 2-band equaliser, you can effortlessly switch between a powerful active sound and a natural passive bass tone. The mahogany body delivers a warm, full-bodied bass tone, whilst the Canadian hard maple neck with a tinted finish sits comfortably in the hand.

Versatile electronics and comfortable playability

The V3N 5L is fitted with a Marcus Standard J-Revolution pickup set comprising two single-coil pickups that deliver warm mid-range tones, clear high frequencies and a dynamic response. You can easily tailor your desired tone using the volume, tone, blend, treble and bass controls. The push/pull function on the bass control switches the electronics instantly between active and passive modes. The rosewood fingerboard with rounded Edgeless™ fingerboard edges significantly enhances playing comfort, whilst the C-profile neck, 34-inch scale length and 9.5-inch fingerboard radius ensure a familiar playing feel for a wide range of playing styles.

Solid construction for years of playing pleasure

In terms of hardware, too, this left-handed bass guitar offers everything you’d expect from a modern instrument. The Marcus Standard bridge supports string-thru-body stringing for stable intonation and powerful resonance. The standard open tuners maintain tuning reliably, and the chrome hardware gives the instrument a neat, classic look. The Tobacco Sunburst finish is beautifully combined with a black/white/black three-ply pickguard, ensuring that this Sire not only sounds excellent but also has a timeless look for the stage, studio and rehearsal room.
