The Sire Marcus Miller V7N A5L Tobacco Sunburst is a left-handed 5-string electric bass guitar that builds on the success of the original V7 series. This New Gen model features improved construction, better balance and a redesigned neck profile for enhanced playing comfort. The North American alder body delivers a balanced tone with a solid foundation, whilst the attractive Tobacco Sunburst finish gives it a classic look. Thanks to its active electronics and high-quality components, this bass is suitable for a wide range of musical styles, from jazz and funk to pop and rock.

Enhanced playing experience

The V7N A5L features a flamed maple neck with a comfortable C-shaped profile and an ebony fingerboard with rounded Edgeless™ fingerboard edges. This makes the neck feel exceptionally smooth during long playing sessions. The medium-sized stainless steel frets enhance durability and ensure precise intonation. With a scale length of 34 inches, a nut width of 46 mm and a string spacing of 18 mm, this 5-string offers ample space for both fingerstyle and slapping. The lightweight open-gear tuning machines also contribute to excellent balance.

Versatile Marcus Miller electronics

For sound amplification, this bass guitar relies on a set of Marcus Super-J Revolution single-coil pickups combined with the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp featuring adjustable mid-range control. This gives you a wide range of tonal possibilities, from warm vintage tones to modern, bright sounds with great definition. The controls consist of volume, tone control, pickup blender, treble, mid-frequency and bass control. Thanks to the passive mode, the bass remains playable even without active tone control. Together with the Marcus Miller Modern-S bridge, this results in a versatile instrument with excellent response and note separation.
