The Sire Marcus Miller V8 S4 Natural is the flagship model in Sire’s range of J-style bass guitars and was developed in collaboration with Marcus Miller. Thanks to the combination of a lightweight swamp ash body and a roasted hard maple neck, this bass delivers a clear, dynamic tone with great definition and a fast response. The roasted maple fingerboard with Edgeless™ rounded fingerboard edges also ensures a particularly comfortable playing experience. The included official Sire gig bag makes it easy to transport your instrument safely to rehearsals, gigs and studio sessions.

High-quality electronics for maximum versatility

The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set, with authentic ’70s pickup spacing, produces a powerful, open J-bass tone with plenty of detail and excellent string separation. Thanks to the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp, you have access to a comprehensive 3-band equaliser with mid-range control, as well as a mini-toggle switch that allows you to easily switch between active and passive modes. Using the volume/tone controls, pickup blender and comprehensive EQ, you can effortlessly craft a sound to suit any musical style, from vintage jazz to modern funk, pop and rock.

Premium finish and playing comfort

Mechanically, too, the V8 leaves nothing to be desired. The new Marcus Heavymass II bridge provides extra sustain and stable intonation, whilst the lightweight open-back tuning machines contribute to excellent balance. The C-profile neck feels familiar and the 34-inch scale length delivers tight string tension. With its chrome hardware, ivory-coloured pearloid pickguard and natural wood finish, this bass looks just as stylish as it sounds. The included official Sire gig bag offers excellent protection during transport.
