The Sire Marcus Miller V8 S5 Natural is a professional 5-string electric bass guitar designed for bassists looking for a modern J-style bass with a wide tonal range and excellent playability. The swamp ash body delivers a powerful, clear tone with great definition, whilst the roasted maple neck and fingerboard provide extra stability and a comfortable playing experience. Thanks to the natural finish, the beautiful wood grain remains clearly visible. What’s more, the bass comes complete with an official Sire gig bag, so you can transport it safely.

Versatile electronics for every playing style

The V8 S5 is fitted with the Marcus Super-J Revolution Set single-coil pickups, featuring the characteristic ’70s pickup spacing for an open, dynamic Jazz Bass tone with plenty of detail. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp features a 3-band EQ, a mid-frequency control and an active/passive switch. This allows you to switch effortlessly between a powerful active sound and a classic passive bass tone. Thanks to its comprehensive controls – including volume, tone, pickup blend and individual EQ controls – this bass is suitable for virtually any musical style.

High playing comfort and reliable hardware

The roasted hard maple neck has a comfortable C-profile and features EDGELESS™ rounded fret edges, giving the neck a particularly smooth feel. With a scale length of 34 inches, a fingerboard radius of 9.5 inches and a 46 mm bone nut, the V8 S5 offers ample space for comfortable playing across all five strings. The Marcus Heavymass II bridge contributes to excellent sustain and stable intonation, whilst the premium open-gear tuning machines ensure reliable tuning. The chrome hardware and ivory pearl pickguard complete the stylish look.
