The Sire Marcus Miller V8 S5 Tobacco Sunburst is a professional 5-string electric bass guitar that combines the classic J-bass sound with modern playability and a high-quality finish. The swamp ash body delivers a bright, dynamic tone with tight bass response and excellent definition. Thanks to the roasted maple neck and fingerboard, the bass feels comfortable to play and offers extra stability. The attractive Tobacco Sunburst finish gives the instrument a timeless look, whilst the included official Sire gig bag provides optimum protection during transport and storage.

Versatile electronics for every bassist

The V8 S5 is fitted with the Marcus Super-J Revolution Set single-coil pickups, featuring the characteristic ’70s pickup spacing for an open and defined Jazz Bass sound. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp features a 3-band EQ with mid-range control and an active/passive switch. This allows you to switch easily between a powerful modern sound and a warm, traditional passive tone. Thanks to the comprehensive controls – including volume, tone, pickup blend and separate EQ controls – you can fine-tune the sound to suit any playing style and musical situation.

Designed for optimal playing comfort

The roasted hard maple neck features a comfortable C-profile and is fitted with EDGELESS™ rounded fret edges for a smooth playing experience. With a scale length of 34 inches, a fingerboard radius of 9.5 inches and a 46 mm bone nut, the V8 S5 offers ample space for comfortable playing across all five strings. The Marcus Heavymass II bridge ensures excellent sustain and precise intonation, whilst the premium open-gear tuning machines guarantee stable tuning. The chrome hardware and ivory-coloured pearloid pickguard add a stylish finishing touch.
