The BB234 builds upon the success of previous BB bass models and takes some inspiration from the hip Revstar series too. The pickguard is stylishly-shaped and the black headstock complements the neck and body beautifully, giving this bass guitar a highly-desirable look.

BB234: simple and effective

When it comes to design, Yamaha have gone for simplicity and efficiency with the BB234. The body is made of alder, a wood type that has been successfully used on bass guitars for decades for its lively, full, bright, well-balanced and versatile sound. Ceramic pickups

The BB234 features ceramic pickups in a PJ configuration. There's a split single-coil in the neck position and a standard single-coil at the bridge, giving you plenty of tonal variety. Both of the pickups are Yamaha V3 Custom models with ceramic magnets that deliver a loud, bright sound that will cut easily through the mix in virtually any style of music.

Wrote the following about Yamaha BB Series BB234 Black electric bass guitar

Dit is mijn eerste basgitaar. Ik speel al jaren elektrische gitaar en wilde mijn collectie uitbreiden met een bas. Ik zocht achter een instrument wat niet te duur was in de aanschaf en toch degelijk is.
Op aanraden van een vriend kwam ik uit bij de Yamaha BB serie.
De toon is gemakkelijk om te regelen, smalle comfortabele nek om snel te spelen en het instrument is voelt uitgebalanceerd aan.
Verder vermeld ik dat pick-ups passief zijn en dat deze warm van toon zijn.
Al bij al, ben ik heel tevreden over deze aankoop.
