SKB 1SKB-SC56 soft case for single-cut guitars
I bought this for my Gibson Les Paul after wanting something that offers more support than a gigbag but without the ruggedness of a hardcase. SKB have absolutely delivered with this case, I really don't know why more people aren't using them. First and foremost my guitar fits perfectly, and the same should apply for any other Epiphone or Gibson Les Paul guitar. The interior is fitted with the same material used in the SKB hardcases which is what steered me to SKB over cheaper alternatives. The neck support ensures the headstock "floats", and there's a good size storage compartment under the neck in addition to the exterior pockets. The best thing about this case however is how comfortable it is to wear on your back, it offers superior protection over a traditional gigbag yet it's so light and comfortable. You do have to open the zippers fully to access the guitar, and it helps if the top has something to lean against as it doesn't have the best balance when open. The price at Bax Music is great and the reassurrance from a brand name like SKB made this an easy choice. I had even contacted the official distributer in my country for SKB who were unable to compete with Bax Music. My only advice to fellow musicians is not to cut corners when it comes to protecting your equipment.
