General

The strings in this D'Addario XSE1156 XS Nickel Plated Steel 11-56 set have a hexagonal steel core (NY Steel Hex Core) with nickel-plated steel windings around it. They were treated with the patented XS coating, an ultra-thin protective layer that ensures longer life without affecting vibration. The Fusion Twist technology used to make these strings guarantees very high stability and unseen strength. These strings give your electric guitar a powerful, bright sound with high output and plenty of sustain. The 11-56 thicknesses make this set ideal for dropped D tuning, with still plenty of tension on the lowered bass string.
