These Hi-Voltage electric guitar strings from DR Strings are a signature string set by the late Pantera guitarist and metal icon Dimebag Darrell. The core of the strings is hexagonal and made of steel, where the wound strings are made of roundwound nickel. This nickel winding is additionally specially treated with a liquid polymer, which protects the guitar strings from tarnishing, especially corrossion. According to Dime, the strings are excellent for everything from classical string bends to huge divebombs to solid riffs and those characteristic ear-splitting squeals or harmonics. This DBG-9/45 variant is ideally suited for guitarists used to that string set with a familiar mix of the higher strings of a .009 set and the wound strings of a .010 string set.
