The Sadowsky Blue Label Guitar String Set Nickel Plated Steel 11-50 string set contains six strings with a hexagonal steel core and nickel-plated windings, a combination that adds both bright highs and warm mids to your sound. With diameters from .011 to .050 inches, this is a medium-heavy set that requires you to already have a fair amount of strength in your fingers (so slightly less ideal for beginning guitarists). The heavier bass strings are perfect for dropped D or other alternative tunings with lowered basses.
