An incomparable American icon, Danelectro has returned in full style and form with the reissue of the Danelectro DC59 M NOS. The familiar Mesonite body comes coated in a fitting Right On Red and decked out with a duo of classic Lipstick Alnico pickups pulled straight out of 1999 (New Old Stock).

The name, body shaping, the pickups, the sound, and even the font stamped along the length of the headstock of this guitar screams fifties vintage Cadillacs, drive-in movies, and a fresh pair of winklepickers. And while this is every bit a rock-n-roll-ready reissue, complete with the light and fast playing feel of a shorthorn-body with a 25 inch scale length and set of 21 frets, this model has been given some considerate modern upgrades, including an adjustable wraparound bridge.

The Lo-Fi Twang of an Old Dano

No other new guitar gets nearer to the original Danelectro sound than this model, so you can fully expect that same bell-like sparkle and crystal-clarity framed by that infamously tasty, lo-fi twang that made the original so sought after.
